I've worn out my favorite hiking boots, and I need to buy new ones, but I can't find any like these. I need some suggestions for the best brand to look at for women. Any thoughts?

Im not a woman but Merrell makes some really great trailshoes/boots without having to spend twice as much. They carry them at Dicks Sporting Goods or any outdoor store.

amy,

check out some danner's. i have danner's exo edge dxtvent hikers and merrells. the danners seem to fit me better in the toe area where the merrells always seemed to be tighter, therefore i had to break these in for a longer time. i buy my hiking shoes/boots a 1/2 size too big. to make room for my socks and the swelling of my feet. i would say danners 1st, merrells 2nd. but thats my feet talking not yours !!

Flat feet, high arch, wide toes, narrow heel, etc.?
I would take my time, forget about brands and try on any and all available.

I have a hard time getting the right fit with hiking boots. It's not about brand because all brands are making such great boots these days. I've fallen into the same position as you. I've worn Limmer boots for YEARS and it's time to retire them. I quickly wore through a light weight pair of Vasque last summer, and now I'm breaking in a pair of Danner boots.
Just take your time, read reviews, know what your feet need, (water proof, breathable mesh, sticky tread, good insoles, light, mid or heavy weight, etc), and try them on!

Well don't know if you would mind doing what I do I wear army boots they are great and confi when you do a lot of miles in one day and they are very resistant to almost any kind of stuff what want to put the through so I would recommend those if you like I just go me new boots about 2 days ago from this web.
