Got to get out to see the Pinnacle just the other day. Supposed to be the most famous view from PA off the AT. Anyone planning on thru-hiking at all next year?

Ahh yes, Appalachain Trail Days! I can't wait. BTW, Trail Days are scheduled for May 14,15,16,17 2009 in Damascus, VA. http://www.traildays.us/
The Annual Hot Dog and Cake Eating Contest on Thursday afternoon will start things off. Lafuma and First Baptist Church sponsor this not-to-be-missed event at 4PM, followed by the Feed The Hungry Hikers Feast at the church. Don't miss it as it gets better every year!

I am sitting at my computer looking out the window at the AT. We have thru-hikers passing through Damascus, VA all season long. North-bound then South-bound, it's amazing to watch the "trail parade" and observe the diversity of the long distance hiking community.
