I just bought a Kayak today. I am stoked. I've always wanted to paddle down stream, camp, light fire, just soak it all in. Now to find a place to put it in. Looking for Rivers in the Midwest.

June 30. So we decided to practice some more on Lake Oconee with it being a weekend and lots of waves we thought it would be a fair liking to the river.. before we adventure down the Oconee River..check out my pictures and see why we are going to practice a little more!

June 15,08.Tried out a Hobie Cat one of those pedal and or paddle types. It was a great float only stayed out about an hour on a flat lake. GA hot sun has me getting out early and off the lakes before the wakeboarders begin. I seem to hug the coves and then can get a roll from the wakes of motors. Cool morning and a group of good company.

We did our first Lake Oconee experience as newbies to this sport. Jim tried a sit on top while i was in a Perception maybe. can't remember really. We went from the Parrot Point to in front of Gaby's and back and unbleiveable in an hour!? I was expecting to just hang around the shore. Back on ground the lumbar a little sore, for about an hour then loosened up to go enjoy some great BBQ down the road! We think we might try it some more.
