I'm looking to get either a bivy or a solo tent to lighten my pack weight. I will need something that is bug-proof and water-proof. What are the pros/cons of each, and are there any recommendations on brands/styles?

I think I have the bivys narrowed down to the Outdoor Research MicroNight or Aurora, but I haven't been sold on either of them yet. Anyone use them?

Sack looks great. How much does it weigh? I am guessing the condensation was more from your body than the weather. The weather just did not allow the moisture to evaporate as readily into the air. Colder wet weather will keep evaporation at bay.

How did the netting work out? It looks a bit snug over your face in your picture. Did you have a way to keep it off your face?

That looks great!! I think maybe something that would let you use a hiking pole to keep it off your body.
