That photo reminds me of the first Camino Real Trek, the poor porters were as loaded as the guy on the photo.
Great idea of making a group like this one.

i dont reuse anything. i used my mountain chair padding for my tent, but then i wasnt sleeping well. so now i just sit on the ground and bring my pad again. i dont do to many multidays anymore.

my katahdyn hiker pro started to taste like plastic and ruined the flavor of great mountain water grrrrrrrrrrr, so i complained and a new one is in the mail!!!!

the welcome photo reminds me of my first trip out. i still sometimes want to bring the kitchen sink. id like to think ive gotten better at leaving things behind but i am weak sometimes.

ATA, what about taking a filter. I use the Katadyn micro hiker and at 8 oz it does an incredible job. It is just not very fast. I would think that you would have access to water that you are able to filter.

Hi thanks for taking the time to answer my post, I don't see many people chatting too often in this web.

Well when I hike in FL I do it mostly in the Everglades or Big Cypress and the water you will find it is not safe to drink so I have to take 10 to 12 bottles of bater with me for my personal use, since you are most of the time under 105f to 115F heat and humidity!!!

I am glad to see a group like this one, since most of the time I go out with about 40lbs to 45lbs on my back most of it's water since that is a big problem on FL when you hike, so if any one has any ideas I will be glad to take notes thanks
