Check out our Madagascar Network if you are thinking about visiting the eight continent. We also have a horribly out of date Hawaii Hiking site with a few good pics.

Hi Daniel. Hope all is good, Yes the trail is on Kauai did not know correct spelling! Also will need fuel for stove i use Snow Peak and would like there fuel but will use any i have to. Seems no REI stores on islands. Thanks for the reply.

Hi,
thanks for the links to your photo website. Really beautiful. Unfortunately, Hawaii is not very popular in the poll I started yesterday (too expensive, I guess), so I might not make it there for another year or two... :-(
Cheers,
Suzanne
Thanks for the reply. I'll try to hit different islands. One of my most active members is from Hawaii, he wants to help me organize the trip. Do people usually island-hop by ferry or plane?
May I ask how it came about that you moved to Hawaii? (Just curious) Did you decide you wanted to move to Hawaii for the beauty and then found a job there or did you happen to find a job that happened to be in Hawaii?
I always wanted to live in NYC for a few years, managed to find a job here and am now kinda stuck ;-) I still like it, but sometimes wish I was somewhere a little more outdoorsy. Instead, I founded a hiking group and try to make my living going outdoors every weekend -- not a bad compromise :-)
I'm hoping you'll add your favorite shots from the islands :-)
I'd love to organize a trip to Hawaii for my group next year or 2010... have you got any tips for really nice, affordable accommodation for a group of about 10 to 14 people?

How long have you lived there? All your life?
Happy hiking,
