That's me in the middle ...I scared these guys coming off the mountain about 9:30 the evening before with my headlamp bouncing around in the dark, lol.

Very nice, love the contrast of the colors with the white

Thanks Bryan ...that whole area is fascinating. Especially between White Top and Grayson Highlands SP. I actually spent a miserable stormy night in the new latrine on hwy 600 at Elk Garden ...great fun!

Nice pic of Elk Garden. Mt. Rogers is one of my favorite places.

Beautiful Sherri! Is this near Mt. Rogers, Va / Grayson Highlands?

But does it have "wild ponies" Kevin?? lol Northern PA is a great section from what I've heard. I haven't set foot on the AT in PA yet though. However. it is on my list for next spring if things work out as they should.

Wow, that's an awesome exposure Bryan. Good work and thanks for sharing!

Kelli, One of the greatest places on the trail is Damascus, VA. If this were my trip I would make Damascus my layover in the middle. Two weeks is difficult to plan not knowing how fast you typically hike. Some folks can easily cover 60 - 80 miles...

David, I am Jim the husband left at home waiting for Sherri to return. I'm not sure where the pictures of the wild ponies were taken. She only has about 100 miles left. I uploaded the pics and do not have any for about the last 1500 miles.
I have a blog site for her at sherriontheat.com

Yes, pretty much seems to be. Without all the stupid apps and invites. Just available options. Rory did an awesome job with this site. It remains to be one of my favorites on the web.
