From Terre Haute. I just started backpacking and have been "practicing" at Charles Deam Wilderness. Would like to learn about good trails in the mid to southern Indiana/Illinois region. I do mostly long weekend outings (Friday-Sunday) when able.

hikers in southern indiana
I am looking for people in the southern Indiana area who like to hike, backback and camp.Day hikes and overnights are all I can manage right now because I am a full time student and I work. Anyone out there?

- donna, welcome to hikers journal. how do you like your jeep? has it been reliable? i was thinking of getting one in spring. i'm getting too frustrated getting to some trailheads that are off the dirt forest roads here in idaho.
