Megan responded to my message explaining what happened. The trip she attempted did not go to plan as nature seldom ever does but her partner got injured and the storms were bad enough for her to call it and prepare better for the next time around....
Last word I got was she had decided to do the trail southbound. The poison oak was bad enough it kept her off the trail too long and the desert was too hot. Her plan is to hit the desert in Oct. when hopefully it's cooler. I haven't heard anything...

Bought a treadmill the other day. Come next season I’m going to be a backpacking machine. Maybe for a couple of bucks, I’ll let you and Dick climb up on my back on the steep hills.
Gina and me were going to do an over nighter up Opal Creek, now it just looks like a day hike. Like you, there just doesn’t seem to be enough time. I am getting excited about hunting.
