Thanks for the great suggestions. Should we hit the coast?? I've only been to Oregon for one night and it was for work, so....I've essentially never been there. It's at the top of my "must go" list, though! I want to see the best on our drive down.

Yeah, I live in the Black bear heartland here in PA. But, they also do not go after humans. usually if you make enough noise they will leave. As long as you don't get between them and their cubs or food.
