- Hi! Jenny, Hope the backpacking goes as planned, sounds great. I wanted to do the meadows when i was there but not enoudh time. Tioga was still closed so would have to do round trip. Road opened the day we where leaving for Sequoia, Will go back next year, later in May & maby do something like your trip. Cant wait . Also getting close to my trip to the Grand, Zion,Bryce,Sept. 12. I will post pics of the Half Dome Hike, Clouds Rest & the lakes when i get time. Later!

- Hi! Jenny . Hope your trip is as great as mine. The cables where up on Half Dome,Hiked it first day up, it was awsome, very different, great fun. The snow was at full melt Lots of water, Hiked up Mist Trail Beautiful,& WET I took plenty photos, will post some day. I Camped at Little Yo. Valley First night Nice area. Climbed Cloud Rest, Higher than H/D, good views to the east,Nice snow up high . What is your plan, what trails, camp sites Etc. How many in your group, If you dont mind me asking. I will add more latter. PS also went to Sequoia, I had forgotten how huge those trees are. Later.. Oh Yea saw 2 rattle snakes on trail close to LYV camp site so snakes are moving be ware.

Know it willbe great, Hope the snow is melted in yhe high country areas and peaks & the chains are up at Half Dome Hike Safe Seeyou Later

Countdown to Yosemite
Only 6 more weeks until Yosemite! We are doing a 5-night backpacking trip in Yosemite's high country. We've done several local overnight backpacking trips in the last 6 months to practice and prepare. I am mostly ready, but will have to take one more trip to REI to get any last minute gear and some food.
