Hey Ryan, A sad story is that my pictures from Colombia, Brazil and a lot of hot places were caught in a basement flood. Negatives and prints stuck together. I've been on a VERY slow process of reclamation. A lot of cash would cure some of it. As cash goes, two kids in college and two weddings. both my daughters, are eating it up at a fast clip. Your dad might know about that. I'm hoping to pop out on the other side with enough energy to get it going soon. Thanks for the encouragement. Nature couldn't be more beautiful here!!
Grand Caymon was the island and we had an escort every where... yeah we were in Hell that was pretty cool place. your have a friend that live in the Caymons... that awsome. haha

Want to tell me about ".....doing as much for the Hawaiian people before...."?
Watching the whales was pretty special. Did it ever become ho hum for you?
My oldest daughter spent a week on the big island. I have a week on Oahu and two on Kauai. I have too much money in the time share to only have two weeks on island. Life!!?

Very healing: Sounds like the old world HI that is similar to Molokai or even the emptiness on Kahoolawe (the eroding island filled with unexploded ordinance). My memories of the warm Hawaiian sun just lifts my heart and reminds me of the tranquility we all seek. HI is definitely a soulsearching experience we should all have. Kauai sounds like a happy place to have a spiritual moment. Ive been told im Hawaiian at heart, whatever that means ;p maybe that is why i am determined to do as much for the hawaiian people before i get to experience all there is there. aloha
Thank YOU for the Ad. And this is a great site for exploring and hiking and hopefully soon, kayaking and cycling at some point. But more than that it is just a great place to share info, experiences, and knowledge. I have been down through greenville a couple times. I love the carolinas and try to goto NC or SC at least once a year.
Hi Paul! Thanks for the comment. No, I lived in HI for college and did not make it out to Kauai. But that was a part of my experience then, and I have every intention of returning for a visit and hiking the Na Pali!
Where is the coolest place you have ever backpacked, hiked or camped?
Blue Ridge hikes
Where else have you backpacked, hiked or camped?
Rock scrambling in Garden of the Gods and around the Ubatuba. Taken a lot of interesting walks around beaches mostly; like on Isla Mujeres and Cartagena .... also some of Hemingway's haunts like Havana, a lot of Brazil, Colombia, Mexican ruins around Merida, Chichen Itza for the Equinox, Tulum, the undergound river at Xcaret..... most of the time, I wasn't carrying a back pack??
