I'll continue the praise for steepandcheap.com. Excellent customer service too. I've got the pop-up tool in my Mozilla so I never miss a deal.

Steepandcheap.com is EXCELLENT. I love how they've partnered with Whiskey Milita and other sites that do the same thing. Selling one item, cheaply, at a time.

Check out backpackinglight.com. I've not found anyone who analyzes equipment as well these guys. The editor has a PHD in engineering.

Thanks for all your responses. I just wanted to encourage everyone as well to carry something like "The Spot" personal GPS locater for safety on extended hikes. I live in Tampa, where the 2 NFL players and 2 college players were lost in the Gulf of…

I use a Garmin eTrex Vista HCx. MicroSD Card allows me to enter the entire Southeastern United States Topography cards sold by garmin into the GPS. They have special cards for specific parks now, too.

Steepandcheap.com is my favorite and I visit daily thanks to great deals throughout the day. They are a subsidiary if Backcountry.com, which is a great site as well. My local outfitter is Quest Outdoors, but they only have a website without any eco…

I am looking to see if there are other online retailers that people use other than the big guys such as REI and Campmor and such. Any of your local outfitters have websites? I like to support the smaller guys if I can, but there is not alot of true…

I have the Garmin GPS Map 60CSx and a Geko 301. I use the 60CSx all the time for day hikes. It's a great GPS, very versatile, it can even be used for turn by turn driving directions. It has the newer, more sensitive chipset in it so it gets much bet…

We were just on a float in the Plant City Strawberry Festival parade. I am not a big fan of that one. Do you have a Facebook page? We, on our travel site have a whole outdoors adventure section for fishing, hiking, hunting, etc. Personally I am not a big hunting fan but it is part of that travel niche.

Well you should change your cable service! LOL
What is your name? Do you get a chance to take some exciting SCUBA or Hiking outdoors type vacations. My wife and I also operate a travel company.
