HELLO Sydnees! My Friends Susan & Shawn George .will meet me there. We meet at the Havasupai Res on a hike and became good friends (great people) P/S they are on the journal also. Look them up they have Great Pics you will enjoy! I go on my long trip by my self, I am sad to say but will meet nice people and make new friends. I posted some of my trip on the journal W/ dates, See you on the trail someday. Happy Hiking!!

Hi! SYdnees. Thanhs for the cudos on the pics. right back at you. I recognized some of the areas , I think i saw waimea canyon in there. If so i will be there in March arter we backpack the NA Pali coast trail (Kalalau Trail) then will camp Kokee and do the canyon rim & the bottom trails.Will also visit Mauai ane Ohau will return the 19t Then I am leaving April 1 for a 12 wk. trip if all goes as planned & will to Havasupai area on that trip. Anyway welcome to the journal and Happy Trails..

Well, it was over twenty years ago. Besides most of the trails around Alanta, I hiked in the first 20 miles of the A.T. from Springer Mt. and over on the border of Georgia and Alabama. I can't remember the area. I'll look it up. I also, did a lot of kayaking and canoeing in the area. I"ll get back to you with names after I Google Earth them. Ed

Here's a "Weekend Backpacker: Atlanta" article that has 10 great Georgia backpacking locations. The first one is Lake Winfield Scott, but if you scroll to the bottom, you'll see a "Move on to >" link with the next location.

Yeah i know PA weather sucks but its hard to beat in fall, i just love PA in fall! and spring... im not for really hot weather either.. i like it like 45* - 65* haha

no, its still really COLD and bitter here i doubt ill go anywhere for a bit, plus my hiking buddies are at collage still so... maybe early spring unless we do a overnight winter camping trip somewhere... dunno what ill do ... ha ha maybe when i get the pack ill get itchy feet lol
