Camping Trip to Boundary Waters

The weather is really getting right to camp. I love the fall leaves and the cool weather. If I were taking a group to the boundary waters (between Minnesota and Canada) to canoe, would it be wise to get some sort of Temporary insurance. I am not sure that everyone in the group has Medical insurance. I want to make sure that everyone in our group is covered in case there is some sort of medical emergency.
Any tips or advice?
